After the woods, there was time for four more outdoor activities - easel drawing, more story-telling, leaf and bark rubbings, and making pine cone/peanut butter feeders for the little woodland animals.

Children collecting pine cones. They then covered them with peanut butter and placed them near the woods to feed birds, deer, and squirrels.

Children using paper and crayons to make bark rubbings on an old crab apple tree.

Children making colorful leaf rubbings with leaves they collected in the woods.

Groups of children enjoying extra story-times about animals in the woods and tree and leaf identification.
