WHAT THIS MEANS TO YOU

First - If your non-profit organization already has footage and wants to edit it, you can do it very cost-effectively at the Soho Center.

Second - If your non-profit organization needs high-end media - whether print, internet, PSAs (radio or television), or long-form videos - we can help. We have a long history of working with award-winning professionals to plan and develop media that works - and we'd be glad to discuss helping your non-profit to develop high-quality media projects. 

We would also be glad to explore ways your organization can collaborate with the Soho Center to find funding to develop high quality media (video-based , web-based, or print) to support your projects and initiatives - whether in the child care field or any other legitimate non-profit arena.

HARDWARE & SOFTWARE - NEW CAPABILITIES

Thanks to several recent donations, the Soho Center has two high-quality uncompressed video-capable, digital non-linear video editing systems and greatly enhanced office, web, and graphics development capabilities.  All this is available for use by the Soho Center and other non-profits.

EDIT FACILITY:
Our primary video editing systems are two uncompressed SD video AVID Symphony systems. In-house we can input from BetaSP, D-2, and DVCPro.  Or you can bring your own equipment (Hi8, cards, whatever) to read your video data stream into our system. Once in  our system, you're ready to edit away!  Audio can come from any video source as well as from CD and DAT.  All sources are directly interfaced with and controlled by the AVID.
 

The facility includes a granite conference table, granite counters and granite editor's desk, multiple LCD displays, and more.  




For the coffee addicts that many media folks tend to be, there's always lots of organic espresso roast beans, a KitchenAid professional burr grinder, and a Rancilio espresso machine at the ready.
FIELD PRODUCTION:


Field production equipment includes a AJ-D215 DVCPro camera as well as donations from the manufacturers of a Vinten tripod and fluid head, AKG wireless microphone,  Anton-Bauer power, PortaBrace field case, and Tiffen filters.
